Move with the season, not against it

The San Fu Tian (三伏天) period marks the peak of Yang energy in the year - a time when nature is at its fullest expression and the body is particularly receptive to nourishment, regulation, and transformation.

While many view health through symptoms alone, Traditional Chinese Medicine reminds us that our physical wellbeing, emotional state, habits, and environment are deeply interconnected. Chinese Metaphysics further teaches us that each person experiences the seasons differently according to their innate constitution and life patterns.

The Inner Seasons is a 3-part experiential series that brings together TCM wisdom, BaZi insights, guided self-care practices, and seasonal living principles to help you better understand yourself and the rhythms influencing your health and wellbeing.

This is not a lecture where you simply sit and listen.

Each session combines education, reflection, practical techniques, and metaphysical perspectives that you can immediately apply in your daily life. Along the way, you'll gain a deeper understanding of your own tendencies, strengths, challenges, and how to work with your body's natural intelligence rather than against it.

Three Sessions, One Journey

The arc of the season, mirrored within

The series follows the natural movement of the season - from the peak heat of summer Fire, through the grounding centre of Earth, toward the clarity and release of Metal as autumn approaches.

01Fire

Restless

Burnout, Mental Overload & the Fire Within

Tuesday, 14 July 2026 · 9:00 - 10:30 PM (GMT+8)

Many of us live in a constant state of stimulation. Notifications, responsibilities, endless information, and the pressure to keep up can leave us feeling exhausted, yet unable to truly rest. In TCM, this often reflects a disturbance of the Heart and Shen, where excessive activity begins to consume the very energy needed for restoration.

In this session, we will explore:

  • Why modern lifestyles leave us mentally tired but physically unable to switch off
  • The relationship between stress, sleep, emotional regulation, and the Fire element
  • How excessive "internal heat" may show up in daily life
  • The role of Shen (spirit) in overall wellbeing
  • BaZi perspectives on different energetic tendencies and stress responses
  • Practical self-care techniques to support calmness, focus, and restoration

This session invites us to slow down and understand what our restlessness may be trying to tell us.

02Earth

Rooted

Digesting Life, Building Stability & Strengthening Your Centre

Tuesday, 28 July 2026 · 9:00 - 10:30 PM (GMT+8)

Health is not only about what we eat. Every day, we are also digesting emotions, responsibilities, information, relationships, and experiences. When our centre becomes overwhelmed, we may begin to feel stuck, scattered, fatigued, or disconnected from ourselves.

In this session, we will explore:

  • The Earth element and its role as the body's foundation
  • How overthinking and worry influence health from a TCM perspective
  • The connection between digestion, energy production, and emotional resilience
  • Recognising signs of imbalance before they become chronic patterns
  • BaZi insights into stability, grounding, and personal resource management
  • Practical exercises to support digestive and emotional regulation

This session focuses on cultivating a stronger centre from which sustainable health and clarity can emerge.

03Metal

Release

Boundaries, Emotional Renewal & Preparing for the Season Ahead

Saturday, 15 August 2026 · 9:00 - 10:30 PM (GMT+8)

As nature gradually transitions toward the energy of autumn, we are invited to reflect on what we are ready to release. In TCM, the Metal element teaches us about boundaries, discernment, resilience, and the ability to let go. It governs not only our respiratory and defensive systems, but also our relationship with grief, attachment, and emotional processing.

In this session, we will explore:

  • The significance of the Metal element during seasonal transition
  • The relationship between emotional holding, immunity, and wellbeing
  • Understanding healthy boundaries through a TCM lens
  • BaZi perspectives on personal cycles, transitions, and growth
  • Practices that support emotional regulation and renewal
  • Preparing body and mind for the energetic shift into the months ahead

This final session offers an opportunity to create space - physically, emotionally, and mentally - for what is next.

What Makes This Series Different

This series uniquely combines:
